The Fire Safety Act requires each MRC to undertake the development of a risk coverage plan for fire safety. The risk coverage plan for fire safety of the Haut-Richelieu who received the certificate of conformity by the Minister of Public Security, entered into force July 22, 2010.

Each of the 14 municipalities of the Haut-Richelieu must implement its plan for implementation by 2015.
